Our co-founder, a scientist at heart, questioned the industry’s slow, wasteful process—years of aging, lost angel’s share, and hefty price tags for a great bottle. So, like any good innovator, he got to work. Between stacks of test samples and a crowded laundry room, he experimented, studied, and refined his craft. What began as a personal mission to improve whiskey finishing became something much bigger. In 2018, Bespoken Spirits launched with a bold vision: to empower distillers, rectifiers, and retailers to customize spirits with precision and less waste—to “bespoke a spirit” for the world.
Today, that garage has evolved into a cutting-edge facility in Lexington, Kentucky—the heart of bourbon country.
We’ve pioneered a transformative approach that redefines whiskey finishing, blending tradition with trailblazing innovation.
